Design as clarity — not drawings.

Planning, feasibility, coordination, and build-ready documentation — led by a professional with 25+ years designing and building homes and remodels.

Masterwork Design helps clients resolve critical decisions early so projects move forward with confidence, realistic expectations, and a clear path to build.

A focused, paid consultation designed to bring clarity before major commitments are made.

25+ years of residential design and construction leadership.

    Who Leads the Work

Design led by real construction experience.

For over 25 years, our leadership has worked inside residential construction — not just behind a drafting desk. We have designed and directly built custom homes, designed and built complex remodels, and built projects designed by others.

This experience changes how we design. Our drawings are informed by real sequencing, real cost pressures, field coordination, and structural logic. We do not design in theory. We design for buildability.

    What Design Solves

Risk reduction and leadership — not just drawings.

    Budget Uncertainty

Early planning exposes true scope and cost drivers before assumptions become expensive mistakes.

    Scope Confusion

Clear documentation aligns expectations and reduces downstream change orders.

    Build Misalignment

Design that stands on its own ensures builders are pricing and constructing the same scope.

    Who This Is For

    Who Masterwork Design is for

    • Homeowners planning a custom home
    • Clients considering a major renovation or addition
    • Property buyers assessing feasibility before closing
    • Contractors seeking professional design and feasibility support

Our work is best suited for clients who value clarity, realism, and experienced guidance.

    The Process

    Three steps to clarity.

    1

    Foundations Consultation

A 60–90 minute guided consultation covering goals, site realities, budget alignment, and feasibility — ending with a clear recommendation.

    Investment: $450 (fixed)

    2

    Feasibility & Proposed Build

Onsite-informed conceptual planning, simple elevations, feasibility checks, and a realistic cost range to validate direction before full plans.

    Typical Investment Range: $2,500–$7,500+

    Depending on scope and complexity.

Feasibility includes concept plans, elevations, spatial planning, and a realistic preliminary cost range. This phase is not permit-ready documentation and does not include engineering or bidding support.

    3

    Construction Design

Complete, build-ready documentation coordinated for permitting, engineering, and construction.

    Typical Investment Range: $7,500–$25,000+

Depending on scope, complexity, and level of detailing required.

Construction Design includes build-ready documentation suitable for permit submission and contractor coordination. Structural engineering and truss design are coordinated but performed by licensed third parties.

Each step stands on its own. Clients decide when to proceed.

    Why Design Comes First

    Planning that protects your investment.

    Decisions are cheaper on paper

Changes cost less before materials are ordered and walls are framed.

    Design protects budget and scope

Clear documentation prevents scope creep and surprise costs during construction.

    Documentation is builder-neutral

The work we produce is valuable whether you build with Masterwork or take it elsewhere.

No obligation to build with us

Clients are not required to build with Masterwork. The design is yours.

    Design support for contractors

We partner with select contractors to provide feasibility analysis, documentation, and design support for residential projects. Contractor-preferred pricing may be available based on scope and ongoing collaboration.
